R.L. Jackson
Bio: Born in Peoria, Illinois, R.L. Jackson stayed close to home while working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and radio disc jockey before earning a Master's in Theatre from Illinois State University. After traveling west and teaching Theatre and communications at Western State College of Colorado, she moved to Los Angeles to peruse screen-writing. Her co-written animated feature Magic of Love with a cast that includes Bryce Dallas Howard, John Goodman, and Kathleen Turner is in pre-production. Never abandoning her love of prose, R.L. had several short stories published and is currently working on a sequel to Gray. In her spare time, she enjoys coaching the gold-winning Los Angeles Valley College Speech Team and working on films for her small production company Hayseed Entertainment,
Mickey Eliason
Bio: Michele (Mickey) Eliason, PhD (1984, University of Iowa) is currently an associate professor at San Francisco State University in the Department of Health Education and is the author of four academic books, twenty chapters in books, and over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles on topics related to sexuality, gender, health care, and substance abuse. Dr. Eliason is a career lesbian in her elder dyke phase. By day she works at a university job, advocating for lesbian (and GBTAIQQD2SSGL, etc.) civil rights and mental health. By night, she aspires to write sappy lesbian romance novels, all with happy endings. Her greatest wish is for Rachel Maddow to read the DDM and mention it (favorably) on her show. Mickey is a self-diagnosed multi-syllabicist, multiple serial monogamist, processing masochist in recovery (email her if you want an explanation), with a self-assessed Butch-Femme number of 3.35. Her friends, however, rate her as a 4.4. She has only U-Hauled twice in her lifetime. She currently lives in San Francisco, but spent her formative dyke-years in the lesbian-hotbed of Iowa City, Iowa.

Helen Ruth Schwartz
Bio: Helen Ruth Schwartz honed her writing skills as a member of the US Army. An honor graduate of the Department of Defense Information School, and recipient of the Army Commendation Medal for exceptionally meritorious service, Major Schwartz ended her military career after 7 years and rejoined the civilian community. Using the GI Bill of Rights, Helen received a graduate degree from the State University of New York, and became a nursing home administrator, and eventually, a publisher of materials designed for nursing home employees.. Now retired, Helen lives in Florida and can be found practicing her golfing skills on The Villages' golf courses.

Ronni Sanlo
Bio: Dr. Ronni Sanlo is a professor in the Higher Education/Educational Leadership department in the College of Education at California State University Fullerton and owner of Purple Books Publishing. Previously, Dr. Sanlo was the Senior Associate Dean of Students and professor/director of the UCLA Masters of Education in Student Affairs. Ronni also served as the director of the UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Center, the director of the University of Michigan LGBT Center, and as an HIV epidemiologist in Florida. She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Florida, and a masters and doctorate in education from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. Her consultation, research, and many publications focus on sexual orientation issues in education and higher education. Ronni has sat on the national boards of several higher education associations and journal editorial boards, and was the founding chair of the Consortium of Higher Education Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Professionals. She is the originator of the award-winning Lavender Graduation, a commencement event that celebrates the lives and achievements of graduating LGBT college students. An activist for over 30 years, Ronni is a speaker, consultant, and strategic planner for organizations and educational institutions, and an author of academic and popular press books.

C. K. Laurence
Bio: Novelist C. K. Laurence lives in and writes about steamy South Beach, Florida. She holds a Masters Degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University and has worked professionally with the University of Miami Hurricanes (Football) and the Miami Heat Basketball Team. Known for her quick wit and competitive spirit, C. K. is a passionate football fan thus the thread that runs through her novels. In addition to football, she spends tireless hours with homicide detectives and CSI personnel, researching each story and every situation, learning the nuances of criminal investigation. Her riveting plot lines, brought to life by great characters, run through twists and turns toward shocking finales. C. Warren J. Blumenfeld, Ed.D., is Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa specializing in Multicultural and International Curriculum Studies & Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Studies. He is co-author of Looking at Gay and Lesbian Life (Beacon Press); editor of Homophobia: How We All Pay the Price (Beacon Press); co-editor of Readings for Diversity and Social Justice (Routledge); co-editor of Butler Matters: Judith Butler's Impact on Feminist and Queer Studies (Sense); co-researcher and co-author of 2010 State of Higher Education for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People (Campus Pride); and co-editor of Investigating Christian Privilege and Religious Oppression in the United States (Sense). Warren wants readers to know that he is cute and single!
